Reflecting on the 2025 Annual Summit in Denver

The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and Claremont Lincoln University extend sincere gratitude to all who joined us in Denver for this year’s Annual Summit—three days of meaningful dialogue, valuable insights, and renewed collective purpose.
The Summit convened Lincoln Vibrant Communities Teams and Fellows from 24 states and more than 55 cities, united in a shared mission to build stronger, more inclusive, and more resilient communities. Participants engaged with mayors, police chiefs, mental health professionals, educators, and developers through thought-provoking sessions that explored today’s most pressing challenges and opportunities.
Together, we advanced conversations around:
- Innovative uses of public lands for housing, water, and nature-based solutions
- Accelerating community investment and expanding community land trusts
- Reimagining rural realities and strengthening local economies
- Building trust through community-centered policing
- Prioritizing mental health in every community setting
- Supporting courageous, compassionate leadership
A highlight of the event was the story of the GES Coalition and Tierra Colectiva’s community-driven campaign to reclaim and return the Denver Triangle for neighborhood benefit—a powerful example of how resilience and equity emerge from lived experience and collective action.
We are deeply appreciative of the energy, insight, and heart that each participant brought to the Summit. As we move forward, we look forward to sustaining this momentum through our Lincoln Vibrant Communities Network, social media channels, and future gatherings, both virtual and in person.
Together, we are nurturing an ecosystem of change that fosters authenticity, vibrancy, and lasting impact in communities across the country.
