lINCOLN INSTITUTE OF LAND POLICY SCHOLARSHIP

Claremont Lincoln University offers the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy Scholarship (LILPS) to incoming students who enroll in one of our many master’s degree programs or the bachelor’s of organizational leadership degree completion program. Made possible through the support of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, this scholarship aims to make high-quality education more accessible and help students achieve their academic goals. Eligible students who meet the criteria of the scholarship receive a 50% tuition reduction, bringing the cost of all degree programs to under $10,000.

The scholarship is available for all degree programs, bringing the cost of any degree to under $10,000. The full breakdown is below:

Bachelor’s in Organizational Leadership degree completion
(assumes 60 transfer credits)

    •     With scholarship: $7,500
    •     Full tuition: $15,000

Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership (MOL), Master of Arts in Human Resources Management (MHR), or 
Master of Arts in Healthcare Administration (MHA)

    •     With scholarship: $9,075
    •     Full tuition: $18,150

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

    •     With scholarship: $9,900
    •     Full tuition: $19,800

Master in City and Regional Planning (MCRP) or Master of Legal Studies in Land Policy: Land Use, Planning and Development (MLSLP) – 30 Credit Program

    •     With scholarship: $8,250
    •     Full tuition: $16,500

FAQs

A: This scholarship, supported by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, provides eligible admitted students with a 50% tuition scholarship to make CLU programs more affordable.

A: The LILPS is available to any new student applying to Claremont Lincoln University. Current and past employees, board members, or family members of Claremont Lincoln University (CLU) or the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy are not eligible for these scholarships. Current CLU degree-seeking students are not eligible to apply unless they have the endorsement of the Chief Academic Officer and are currently working directly with the public sector. Current CLU degree-seeking students should contact Student Services by emailing studentservices@claremontlincoln.edu for more information.

A: You must be a new CLU student, meet all admission requirements (including GPA), and submit the scholarship application with a résumé, career synopsis, and LinkedIn profile.

A: There is no fixed deadline to apply, but funds are limited to a $1 million commitment. Early application is encouraged.

A: It covers 50% of tuition for your eligible CLU degree program.

A: Yes. You must meet the following minimum GPA standards:

    • Bachelor’s Completion Program: 2.0 cumulative GPA and 45 transferable credits
    • Master’s Programs: Completed bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a 3.0 GPA

A: Once your scholarship application is reviewed, you will be contacted by a CLU Student Success Manager with your award status and next steps.

A: No. Due to the significant value of the LILPS, it cannot be combined with other institutional discounts or tuition reductions.

A: Yes, if you remain in academic and financial good standing and do not withdraw.

A: Standard CLU policies apply. Your scholarship continues if you remain in good standing. Consult with your advisor before making schedule changes.

A: Remaining scholarship funds return to the general pool, and you cannot receive the LILPS in future terms.

A: No. Full-time or part-time enrollment is allowed. Students exceeding a full-time load must follow catalog policies.

A: You’ll pay 50% of the tuition for your chosen program:

  • Master of Public Administration (MPA):
    $19,800 → $9,900
  • Master of Arts in Organization Leadership (MOL)
    Master of Arts in Human Resources Management (MHR)
    Master of Arts in Healthcare Administration (MHA)
    $18,150 → $9,075
  • Bachelor’s Completion (Assumes 60 transfer credits):
    $15,000 → $7,500
  • Master in City and Regional Planning (MCRP)
    $16,500 → $8,250
  • Master of Legal Studies in Land Policy: Land Use, Planning and Development (MLSLP)
    $16,500 → $8,250 *Textbooks and Capstone fees, if applicable, are not included.

A: Yes, you may use federal aid if you are eligible. We encourage students to borrow what they need. The CLU financial services department can help you explore options.

A: Funds are applied to tuition each term and have no cash value.
